Portuguese stars prefer to come to MU than Arsenal

Arsenal has been heavily linked with a move to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves - but he is likely to move to Manchester United instead.

Arsenal still wants to sell midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer, and a move for the Swiss to move to Roma is still in the process of being negotiated after numerous rumors over the past two months.

Arsenal has brought in Albert Sambi Lokonga, but the possession of a more experienced midfielder must also be a priority should Xhaka leave. Manuel Locatelli and Ruben Neves are two of the suggested names.

But Arsenal is not the only club. Now, Eurosport journalist Dean Jones has told YouTube channel The Football Terrace that Manchester United are indeed pursuing Neves.

Jones said the reason Arsenal is struggling is that the Portuguese midfielder is waiting for a move from MU: "Regarding Neves, this player is not sure if leaving is the right move for him. Manchester United is also interested in him, Neves wants to wait and see if the deal materializes."

According to the latest information, Bruno Fernandes himself also recommended Ruben Neves for MU. Midfielder born in 1994 thinks that his team-mate in the Portugal shirt is quite suitable for the Old Trafford team at the present time.

Having trained together for a long time in the Portuguese national team, Bruno Fernandes believes that the qualities of Ruben Neves are the missing piece for MU at the moment. The player himself, born in 1997, also has experience in English football for more than 3 seasons.
