MU decides the future of 2 stars

Manchester United signed Raphael Varane in this summer's transfer window, putting the futures of several central defenders into question.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said he will do everything in his power to make Phil Jones' return go as smoothly as possible, after 18 months the Manchester United midfielder struggled with injury.

The Man Utd boss said on Wednesday night that Jones will be part of the first-team center-back group alongside French defender Raphael Varane for the upcoming season.

The Norwegian also claims that the signing of Varane is likely to lead to a loan move for Axel Tuanzebe, who played well in MU's 2-2 friendly against Brentford.

"Of course, with Raphael Varane coming, I can let Axel go (on loan), because I have Varane, Maguire, Lindelof, and Eric Bailly and Phil Jones will be back," Solskjaer told Man Utd's website.

As for Jones, Solskjaer detailed the 29-year-old defender's situation: "He will start training at the weekend when we are full on Monday, which is a big plus for him. that"

“I have had similar problems in my career. He's such a talented, professional guy and it's great to see he's ready to train again. Hopefully, he can train with us first, and then hopefully Jones will be able to play soon."

“Jones has always served the club, there was a time when he had to take care of himself and his health, but now he is ready to train with us.”
